Two groups that have been working together to prepare students for RN jobs Phoenix, and a host of other positions, have made their ties even stronger.

Mayo Clinic and Arizona State University recently signed an agreement to solidify their healthcare collaboration. The agreement will continue many of the healthcare, medical research, and education efforts the two groups have been working on for the past eight years, as well as focus on future initiatives.

“We are very excited about this agreement, which reflects our mutual commitment to working closely with our partners at ASU as we continue to enhance our ongoing collaborations across a broad variety of projects and programs,” Victor Trastek, M.D., vice president of Mayo Clinic and CEO of Mayo Clinic in Arizona. “One important area of focus with ASU is our collective ability to redesign medical education in ways that align with the future of health care delivery.”

Since 2003, Mayo and ASU have managed to establish several effective programs, including everything from a joint nursing education program and dual degree programs to collaborative research projects and joint faculty appointments.

“ASU and Mayo have a long history of working together to advance medical education and research,” ASU President Michael Crow said. “This agreement will help us deliver new ideas, new solutions and new technologies that will have positive impacts on the future of health care.”

Under the new agreement, Mayo Clinic plans to expand its engagement with ASU at all levels throughout the organization. In turn, ASU is planning to relocate the Department of Biomedical Informatics to the Mayo Clinic Scottsdale campus by the end of this summer.
